Lower Primary Coordinator’s Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have fast approached another eventful and productive academic year. I am very proud of all the students who have successfully completed their studies in 2019. I wish them well with their future studies.

Well done to all the Foundation to Year 2 students who successfully participated in the comprehensive swimming program. Students also participated in the annual athletics carnival and competed in numerous tabloid sport activities. A huge thank you to the Lower Primary team for assisting at each station and Simon for coordinating the Tabloid Sports activities. I would also like to thank the Athletics Event team for organising the wonderful event. All students had a valuable and enjoyable experience.

During our CASEA program all students up to and including Year 3 participated in classroom activities that helped them to develop an understanding of STOP, THINK, DO and building children’s self-esteem. At home parents can continue to reinforce and assist their children to overcome negative beliefs. Some suggestions are praising your child, avoid put downs, teach your child to set goals, talk about making mistakes, help your child to think realistically, encourage independence, tell your child you love them and teach your child to be a good friend.

I have been a coordinator at Ibrahim Dellal Campus since 2010. Throughout this time, I have had many challenging and rewarding situations. However, I am pleased to announce that from the beginning of 2020, Ms Elif Olmez will be the new Lower Primary Coordinator (F-2), when she returns from maternity leave. I wish her all the best with her new position.

I have had great pleasure working with the Primary Team alongside with Mr Ibrahim, Ms Coskun, Ms Yildirim-Bas, Ms Sahin and Ms Hot and I would like to thank them all and the management team for this opportunity and their endless support.

I would like to wish all our parents, students and teachers a safe and wonderful holiday. I am looking forward to seeing you all back at the start of the 2020 academic year.

Yours in Education,
Ms Halide Atasay
